Your opinion on SF mint producing Proof only coinage

What is everyone's opnions of the San Francisco mint producing only Proof coinage? Would it be more interesting to have an "S" mint on our circ coins as well as Ds and Ps?

It'd be great - as a matter of fact, it'd be great if we had an "O" mint going back here in the south too - unfortunately, now with the ability to get things from point A to point B very easily, it's doubtful if we'll ever see another mint crank up. But here's a thought, what if the mint marketers woke up one day and decided - for one year, to crank up all the mints that were ever in use, and issue really beautiful commemorative $5 gold pieces from each mint? That'd be pretty cool wouldn't it?

I think it would be nice to have a S mint mark on circ. coins it would make collecting from circulation more of a challange.

Just crack open some proof sets (mid 80s are cheap). Release the coins and lose a few bucks on each set... but hey, you have your circ SFs

About two weeks ago I dumped about 10 rolls of unc 1968 to 1974 S-mints in southeastern Wisconsin... Watch your change! (Don't worry I went through them nothing of high quality or worth slabbing).
