First I've seen - the one I sent came back in a NGC holder, "properly" cleaned.image

I've seen them. Kind of neat. The part that puzzles me, is that you send the coin off to NCS, and they curate the coin, but decide it won't slab over at ngc. That's fine. So you ask them to slab the coin with one of their new holders, and they label the coin with the appropriate problems, but also list "improperly cleaned". What? So, if they curated the coin, and now it's labeled as "improper", what's proper? I thought that end of the whole deal was kind of funny. image

Yep sure have especially since I am in the market for a nice 1795 but that is a little more then I was looking to spend.

Most likely the piece was improperly cleaned before it was sent to them.
  • WOW, first i've heard of this. image

Rotated Rainbows, I didn't think of that!!! Improperly cleaned BEFORE it was sent off to NCS. I hate it when the obvious is right in front of me, and I look right through it!! image

I have three NCS slabs - I just received them back last week. I like the way they look. I intend to slab my entire chopmark set in the future!

    Dumb question.

How can I submit to NCS?

I have a nice wreath cent that has some corrosion but I would like it in a holder.

    Will they be at Baltimore?

    thank you!
  • I saw a couple of them at the New Silver Dollar Show in St Louis Thurs and Fri. They caught my eye and at first I thought there was someone else I had never heard of before with a piece of plastic.
