What coins are the oldest, by issue date, to be graded PR70 & MS70 by PCGS?

1960, using the international standard WAG method.

A quick perusal of the pop reports seems to confirm the validity of the "WAG" method (whatever that is). In proofs, anyway, the earliest does look to be 1960.

EDIT: I just realized what WAG is.

Russ, the WAG method is used by nearly every government agency in the world. It is the standard "wild arse guess". Do not feel embarrassed if you did not know. I learned it from my father. He once used it when giving a presentation to the head of the Department of the Interior. He was giving a report on the acres burned in forest fires in Alaska sometime back in the 60's before satellites could map the areas burned. The Secretary of the interior asked" Hmm the WAG method, I have never heard of that method. What is it? ...." Needless to say it was more than quite a laugh.

Looks like the first PR70s were issued in 1960 for Quarters and Dimes
Not sure yet on the MS70s
