I just got one from a buyer that bought one of my coins with "Buy it Now". His reason for not paying is that "I thought I was buying a handheld calculator". The longer I thought about it the harder I laughed. Had to share.

You think that is funny? It has actually happened with me, and I've had to go and retract my bid.
He has also ruined some of my snipes.

OK, no problem. Nobody's perfect, certainly not me- I understand. Things happen.
(two weeks later, after my second polite email):
<< <i>I'm sorry, the living room is still a mess and I guess I forgot with all that's going on... >>
OK, I'll let that slide. I get pretty disorganized myself, even without renovating the room. Please pay up, though, huh? It's been almost a month.
(one month after the close of the auction- my maximum limit of tolerance):
A third email to the bidder. No reply.
Blam. First neg I ever gave. He never posted a followup comment, either.
Another clown changed his email address, did not inform eBay or anyone else of this, and when I finally got his contact info and got him on the 'phone, he said,
<< <i>Oh, I never heard from you so I assumed you'd sold the item to someone else. I bought another, and don't need it now. >>
(This on a $200 coin.) I emailed the new address he finally gave me, and I told him I would excuse him if he reimbursed my fees, as by this time it was too late to get a credit from eBay.
No reply.
Pow. The second neg I ever gave. I think this guy has since been NARU'ed.
Since then I have left only two other negs (both for deadbeat bidders, who never posted followup comments), and one neutral (for a seller whose product never reached me and who took his time explaining that the lost item was not his responsibility- I might have accepted this if he had stated up front that the shipping fee didn't include insurance). This is out of over 700 feedbacks I've left.

Actually, a coin makes an excellent handheld calculator. Both rely on the same binary logic ( 0 and 1 is completely analogous to heads and tails H and T). The only difference is that the calculator processes its 0s and 1s a little faster.
It has actually happened with me, and I've had to go and retract my bid.
Maybe the cat wanted the coin. You should take it as a sign

"I got a virus and my hard drive crashed. Sorry man, I will get it out to you." after I filed the NPB report about 2 weeks after auction close and several unanswered emails.
2 days later, he was NARU and I never received the payment. Never got to leave him a neg feedback, either. Grrrrr.

Update 10/22. One more email sent and still no response.
I just put him on my blocked bidder list, thinking he might try to sabotage one of my remaining auctions in the closing minutes.
