Another 75T to watch

A Frank Tanana 1 of 5. This is another one whose population hasn't budged in some time. This particular one is kind of funny, it's so far off-center it pulled the printing on the flip with it. It's not an OC qualifier as the T/B is pretty good, but it's close.image

The centering on the card is crap, but hey, buy the holder not the card right.

Helionaut> The thing is, there are five 8s - but also one 9 NQ.

Bobs> That's about as nicely centered as you're going to find a Tanana. It's just a chronically off-centered card. Good luck finding a more centered PSA8 on this one.

    Here's a similar card - #301 - Robers
It too is a pop 5 (no 9s) - three of them are currently in sets and this is a fourth one. I don't know where the 5th one is living.

Sorry. . .couldn't help it image

I will defer to your knowledge regarding how tough the card is to find centered. However, that is a very weak 8 due to the centering.

Brian> That prompts a philosophical question. . .if a "weak 8" is the best 8 available, is it still a "weak 8"?

If a slab falls in the woods, but no one is there -- does it make a sound?

Whats the sound of one hand clapping?

straw> It is a nice card, but considering how much very nice raw 75s are still out there I don't think it's $75 worth of nice.
Same goes for the 75T Cey PSA9

They won't be 1 of 1s for very long.

  • Funny...that PARTICULAR card being auctioned was never a 1/1. Although I have been sandbagging and haven't registered it in my set yet, I have owned a PSA 9 Cey for a number of months. Also, if you check the population report, the card is now a 1/3. I guess the guy got his card back before the population report updated, saw there was only one, and listed it as such. Buyers beware. Don't always trust descriptions for population numbers! Frank
Looking for 1975, 1978, and 1979 Topps Baseball in high end PSA 9 and PSA 10.
