How much does PSA benefit from Registry Special?

How much does PSA really benefit from having registry specials every month? I used to send in my cards from the 60's and 70's slowly but every month. Now, I will not be sending any cards for at least another month because I am waiting to see what the next registry special will be. Also, I have quite a few 1950's and pre-war cards I want to send but I keep waiting to see if there will be a special on those, and consequently, I have not sent in any cards.
I realize a lot of collectors and dealers are submitting cards they would otherwise not have submitted but do the extra submissions offset the loss in dollars in doing them cheaper?

I don't think they're losing money from the specials. I just sent in 80 Davy Crockett cards for grading, which I wouldn't have submitted without the special price. That cost $400 - figure $1 each for cost of encapsulating; that leaves $320 for processing and grading. I could grade 80 cards in 2 hours. That's a pretty good profit margin for PSA. image

I think that PSA Registry Special is a good deal every month they have a new special one month it's the 50's,
then the next month it's 60's for $5.00 a card trust me PSA a not losing any money at $5.00 a card. I do belive how
every that there isn't as many non sports cards collectors out there as PSA may think maybe I'm wrong tho I would
real like total of how many non sports cards they grade a during the current special.

I would real like to see the day were PSA gets there grading fees down to $5.00 each and also be able
to send in Vintage, Modern and non sports cards all in the same submission. If this day every come I
would probable send anywhere between 200 and 400 cards a month but as things are now I will just wait
for the right special to come up to send my cards in maybe in Dec. or Jan. who know.
