Got some grades

...off cards I sent in on that "No Strike" offer...I was thinking about registering a new set (edit: 2000 UD Yankee Legends) but these came in mostly 8's, so I'm having second thoughts. The registry really is for vintage stuff, right?

  • What was the item that they would not grade?
Line 19 item-30174004 - REFUND DO NOT GRADE - No Holder available

and WHY ON EARTH did it take SO long to grade this SMALL invoice?

  • Being "oversized" might have slowed things up...the other card? I forget right now and my paperwork is somewhere else. Can't for the life of me remember what it was...

P.S. It was a 30 day deal, they're within the time frame.

Yes, but they'll make exceptions for stuff like '70 Kelloggs image

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Forget the cards, I'm more interested in your trip to Africa. Is it business or a vacation? I don't know anyone that ever travelled to Africa, and you got my curiosity aroused...jay
  • Vacation. My wife hails from Johannesburg, South Africa, and my sister-in-law still lives there, so we're going over for a month. First stop, London for 2 days, then on to the "Palace of the Lost City" a resort, where I get to take a hot air balloon trip out over the jungle at dawn, then a long African drive through a game reserve, then down into Capetown, then back to England, then home.image

    I can't wait!

  • We're actually at this hotel, in the same complex as the Lost City, but we're doing a whole bunch of stuff out of the Lost City, more so than the Cascade.

Then on to Capetown via the Garden Route...

    Jay-

Since you're kind of a local to me -- if you ever want to hear about my honeymoon to South Africa, I would be more than game to tell you! I would like to meet up with some people at the December Ft. Washington show -- as it is, I seem to e-mail/post with many people, but no one knows me by face.

HartlandMan -- sounds like an amazing trip... I am quite jealous!
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I'll probably attend the next Ft. Washington show. Maybe I can meet some of you also. It would
be nice to put faces with names. I thought the thread on the National w/ photos was great.

    MS,

I was looking for you on 9/29 at the Woodcrest Station in Cherry Hill. Too many bicyclists to
see which one was you. It looked like the food was good under the tents. I wished I could
stop but my wife and I were on the way to the Eagles game!

    aconte

    spelling errors - sorry

    Aconte-

I remember riding back on Sunday and a lot of the other riders were taking it easy because they would "defnitely be home in time for the Eagles game..."

Would you have even known what I looked like? Hope all is well. Cheers-

SCHMIDTTY - Yes! I would like to here about your adventure. My honeymoon was in Vermont, not too many stories, except for inside the suite image . I will miss the December Ft Washington show. I rarely miss them but my boy will be graduating that Friday from the Marines boot camp in South Carolina, so its definitley worth missing the show for image ...jay
