Opened a box of 02-03 Fleer Flair BKB today and here is what I pulled

Miles Topper #/825

2 more miles GU

2 elton brand GU same card!!!!!

is there anything I can do about this, I am so mad!!!

    Good Afternoon,

    I would first like to say thank you for the years of enjoyment Fleer has brought to me with regards to sports cards. I am an avid collector, have been for many years, and no one delivers a more complete product than Fleer. That being said, I have unfortunately experienced my first disappointment in a Fleer product. The product I am referring to is Fleer Flair Basketball for 2002/2003. I recently purchased this product and was very disappointed. The Box Topper I received was a Darius Miles Swatch #/825. The first two memorabilia cards I pulled were both of Darius Miles, and both were the same subset of memorabilia, same exact card. The next two memorabilia cards I pulled were both of Elton Brand, and again were both from the same memorabilia subset, same exact card. I have heard very good things regarding Fleer Customer Support, and am interested to see if anything can done in order to rectify this issue. I purchased this box of Fleer Flair in San Antonio TX. I have a receipt, and had the store owner, who witnessed the box break, was kind enough to provide documentation regarding the contents of this box. I appreciate your consideration in advance, and thank you for your time.

  • It's a waste of time, you didn't lose anything, and they didn't mislead you. I bought a sealed box and 2 extra packs of Platinum Rack Packs when there was supposed to be one auto per pack and got none. I called them and sent in the topper and UPC's like they asked and after several weeks I finally got 8 foil sealed packs with one auto in each pack. I got 2 Antawn Jamison (1 being Crimped), 2 Howard Eisley (1 Being Crimped), Jason Hart, 2 Theo Ratliff, and a Ron Artest. I didn't even bother sending either of the crimped back seeing it wasn't worth the time and money after going through all of that. The thing is, if you got Doubles of Vince Carter or another big star, you wouldn't be complaining. That's the way it goes. Sorry you aren't happy with your pull, but most collectors aren't.

  • We had similar problems with a box of Fleer Football last year & when we contacted them,they couldn't have been nicer.They told us to send them the dups & damaged cards.When they got them they called to tell us they didn't have another copy of the damaged GU & replaced it with a BETTER player.
    By the time we got everything back from them much quicker than most card companies we were very happy.Just ask;all they can do is say no but in our case they helped us out alot.

  • The problem is too many people abuse the customer service for the wrong reasons and it ruins it for other people who have the BIG problems of not receiving what was stated or any other major problems. In 00-01 I bought one box of Topps Reserve BKB and my RC and Graded RC were the same person and not a very good one at that. Sure I was disappointed, but I didn't complain to Topps. We all find disappointment in box breaks, because most of us go into them thinking and hoping for big pulls, which at least 85% of the time we don't get a big pull. Just like I said before, if some one busted open a box of Fleer Platinum Rack Packs (1 auto per pack) and pulled 6 of the same common auto they would be mad, but if it was 6 of the same Vince Carter or other superstar, they wouldn't have a problem with that. It's just the luck of the draw. My best luck was with Fleer Legacy Baseball and Fleer Platinum Rack Packs in Baseball. I for one can vouch for the double auto problem. Sure I was mad at getting 6 doubles in BKB and 2 damaged, but in baseball I didn't have a problem getting doubles of commons of certain players in a box, when I pulled 2 duplicate Willie Mays autos from one box. You win some and you lose some.

    P.S. Fleer's Customer Service is one of the best out there, if you want to talk about a joke, you should talk about Topps.
