The fields on this coin are very polished and quite deep for a mint state Franklin. The strike is full and bold which is unusual for this mint mark. There is also some light cameo contrast on the devices. It is tough to really show the beauty of this coin with a scanner but I gave it my best shot. I'll post it again when I finally get a camera.

Is it the the three bottom rim lines to make fbl, those looks incomplete in the picture?
Looks like your getting some toning on this one a little. Another series I collected and did not finish.

That is by far the nicest example of that particular coin I've ever seen. It would be really interesting to get as much information as to how these coins came about. I know one collector on the boards, Ed Castrege (Flykite) has done quite a bit of research on this coin. I hope he sees the post and can add some of his information to it. Again - amazing coin!

I did collect these before my Barbers. I have a really nice collection. Some of the coins are in NGC holders and I have no intention of trying to cross them. I lack four coins to reach 100% complete. I don't really know why I quit; I'm sure that I will finish it someday.
