i submitted some coins to pcgs in pcgs holders from the eastern collection as i was asked to do. i was asked to pick some i thought would be good coins to submit i guess good is a relative term..............
the first was a pcgs 1913 dime in proof 66 this coin is a really nice super 66+++ but it has a deep cameo plus obverse with a deep cameo minus reverse
it came today as a 66CAM and is a pop one coin with none higher in cameo
and there are no deep cameos i guess i would rather have the coin not maxed out in its holder and this coin is worth more out of its holder as for me it is a deep cameo! and currently there are no deep/ultra cams at pcgs/ngc!!
the second was a medium toned ice blue pcgs proof67 1885 3c nickel to me an easy 68 and deep cameo obverse with a cameo++++++++/deep cameo reverse
and still deep cameo with the toning!!
well this coinalso came back today as a proof67CAM pop 2 with none higher this coin to me is a 68 and deep cameo but that is okie as this coin is not maxed out in its holder! and is worth more outof the holder then in the holder!!!!!!!!!!!! and still cameo++++++ even with the medium toning!! to me this coin is really eccessively rare as such! and only one each deep cameo ultra cameo at pcgs/ngc!
the third coin was part of a fully 100% original proof set the 1937 proof 66 pcgswashintgton quarter with unbelieveable powder baby blue and some yellowgolden celluoid original mint set packaging toning on the obverse and some on the reverse this coin was in a proof 66 holder and to me is an easy 67+++++++++68 coin
the coin came back as 67! but to me again is not maxed out in its holder and is worth more out of the holder than in the holder because of the toning and perfect surfaces!
pcgs sure is not giving anything away grades! and is super strick based on this submission i sent in
and ALL these coins are exceptional MONSTERS!!!!!!!! i can see why there are many disappointments for submissions!
i mean if you saw any of these coins your jaw would drop but i guess they can always be resubmitted at a later date........lol

I know how it feels.
I don't know where you get all of your amazing coins, but thanks for sharing! Great stuff! You are right, better to be undergraded little, than overgraded.
