Are you crazy?

I looked at those top 20 lists and that BigShane told you guys to post and Ray Allen was only on like 1 or 2? WTF?

He is only the best 3 point shooter in the NBA and one of the best all around shooters. Some of you guys put Shawn Marion and Elton Brand ahead of him WTF?????????????????

Ray Allen leads in games, games started, minutes per game, 3-point %, free throw %, assists per game, least personal fouls, and points per game

Now you tell me who is better

  • Barely two months after being traded from Milwaukee to Atlanta, it's quickly becoming obvious that Glenn Robinson won't be sending a Christmas card to his former teammate Ray Allen.

Their long-distance war of words in the media escalated Friday, when Robinson told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, "I look at him as a coward," and chided Allen for being soft.

Allen hurled the opening insult last week at the Bucks' media day, telling reporters that Robinson wouldn't pass the ball and used his ankle problems as an excuse to avoid working hard in practice.

In returning fire, Robinson asserted that Allen, not he, was the reluctant passer a year ago.

"I passed the ball to Ray more than he passed it to me," the veteran forward told the Journal-Sentinel. "He takes the most degree of difficulty shots than anybody in the league. He'll pull up for a three-pointer from the hash marks and nobody ever complained about him."

The Bucks and Hawks meet for the first time on Dec. 5, and as fate would have it, the game will be nationally televised on TNT. Based on some of Robinson's comments, it could get ugly.

Robinson told the Journal-Sentinel, "I have no respect for [Allen]. If this was a street game, I'd be going up side his head when I see him. But this is the NBA."

The Bucks traded Robinson to the Hawks on Aug. 2 for forwards Toni Kukoc and Leon Smith and a first-round draft choice in 2003.

In 2001, small forward Robinson and shooting guard Allen teamed to take Milwaukee to the Eastern Conference finals before losing a tough seven-game series to Philadelphia.

However, last year the team was a huge disappointment. The Bucks finished 41-41 and missed the playoffs, an outcome many felt was the result of poor chemistry. That precipitated the Bucks' effort to deal Robinson this summer.

  • And...........
  • Marion is as good a player as Allen, they have very different roles, too hard to compare. Same w/ Brand.

  • Collector-- the fact that Allen averages the least amount of fouls is NOT a good thing. It just shows that he is not aggressive on defense, lazy some would say....... but the same goes for Robinson, both have been publicly chastized by Karl for only being aggressive on one end of the floor......

And i'd take Marion over Allen anyday. Marion is as good a scorer, shoots a better FG%, and had almost 3 times as many boards as Allen last year, as well as more blocks and steals per game. Only thing Allen has him beat in by a significant margin is 3-pointers, and the fact that he shoots 4 times as many as Marion helps him there. Also factor in that Allen is like 4 years older than Marion
