The color next to the rim is blue and it fades into a light brown/yellow It's not sold color it is just a bunch of dots.

What you describe is toning. I can't see anything from the picture due to it being very dark.

Yep, I can see just a tinge of toning beginning to form on the rim. Browns and oranges are very common on Franklins in my experience. I don't think that we are at the dipping stage yet

Looks like you have a nice MS63/64 half there that's just starting to tone. Put it in an intercept holder and it should stay nice. I personally like to see a little bit of toning like that to attest to the originality of coins, but that's up to the individual's taste.

Any change in color from the brilliant blast just jumped off the dies white is toning no matter how subtle or monster.
