The more I compare costs, especially the silver eagles and modern commenatives,
the MS grades are more expensive than the proof grades.

Why is that? I would think the beauty of the coin is very important.

Mintage? More people are buying the proofs so the UNC's are rarer?

Silver eagles in ms are pretty silly since no one uses the coins as money so I doubt they get much wear from circulation.
Maybe Braddick could wear one down and have a pop 1 coin
