Interesting "pattern"image of bidding - retracted bid well before auction ended because he couldn't contact the seller?? Does this look fishy to anyone else??image

I think it might be legit- say you bid quickly then ask the seller a question... might not be the smartest way to bid, but might be true.

    Nice coin!

The retracted bid ($2850) wasn't very close to the reserve ($3600) and it was retracted almost 2.5 days before the auction ended. My feeling is that if someone intends to retract a bid in order to stick it to the underbidder, they won't do it that early.

It's a little weird to me that he cancelled the bid only 12 hours after bidding which isn't a very long time to allow someone to get back to you.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

The same (or very similar) coin sold recently for $1,450. The seller was asking PR-65 money for a PR-64 pattern, and adding a lot of BS to the description that would only fool a newbie,
