1972 type 3 ike question

I want to know what a type 3 1972 ike is worth in the grade of ms64-65.
Also is a 1972-d DDO-001 rare and what is the ball park price for one ms63-ms65.

  • 1972 Type 3 Ikes are the easiest of the three varieties in high grade. They were struck on a new kind of die steel, and with higher relief, than the Type 1.

MS64/MS65 is quite a price jump, for PCGS certified examples at least. You can buy a PCGS MS64 for $15, but will pay probably at least $200 for a decent PCGS MS65, and more for an exceptional example.

Don't know off the top of my head about the 72-D DDO, even if it is rare it's probably still not expensive. Interest in Ike DD's is pretty thin. The fact that there are no exceptionally dramatic examples doesn't help.
