Anyone else having USPS trouble/delays?

Checks and coins I'm sending out are taking forever, and coins and checks coming to me are taking forever. Not every single transaction, but way to frequent for my liking, or that I am accustomed to. One check a board member sent me, was forwarded to a Texas addy, then sent off to me....3 weeks in the mail!! I recently sent another board member a check via Priority mail, because the last transaction we did, the check took at least 10 business days to get to him, and the priority piece hasn't arrived yet, and it will be a week on Tuesday, after the holiday. It's very frustrating.

The USPS is AWEFUL!
In the Seattle area, you can't even get in the door (the USPS infrastructure hasn't kept up with growth). I always bring a book. Then there is the 30 minute wait while the folks who don't speak English get their packages wrapped (they bring in birthday presents UNWRAPPED) and expect the guy behind the counter to do it for them. Why do they oblige?? Let's not get into the recent postal price increase. I've had a couple packages disappear this summer too.
My best story/worst experienjce was a piece of english stoneware I bought through ebay. It arrived, the package trashed and the item broken (only the lid). I took it to the PO to make a insurance claim (another 30 minute wait). The USPS person behind the counter spoke poor english but seemed to understand it was a insurance claim. She then mailed it to me w/o rewrapping it and now it was in a thousand pieces. So, back to the PO again, another 30 minute wait, same person, so I finally convinced her to let me speak to her English speaking supervisor. It finally got resolved. I now notify ebay sellers that they will have to deal with the claims process if the item is lost or damaged (why not - they're the ones who didn't wrap or ship it properly). If they don't agree, I don't bid.
Any wonder why the USPS competition is thriving??

I was recently out of state upon my return imagine my surprise when I found out that the USPS had delivered a $500 package (insured with delivery confirmation) to me while I was gone. They are still investigating.
My only complaint is the crowd at the PO on Saturday. My job is very busy, and I rarely get to the PO during the week. On Sat, the base PO is closed, and the local off-base PO is only open 1000-1200. The line averages about 15-20 minutes. THere are only two employees working. The employees actually ask the customers to fill out comment cards to get a third employee on. I filled one out asking for a third employee or longer Saturday hours... if the were open 0900-1500 the line wouldn't be so bad.
Looking for PCGS AU58 Washington's, 32-63.
