Can I use a Debit Card with PayPal?

Their response didn't help in the slightest- I have the checking account as a funding source, and the debit card (mastercard) has been accepted as a credit card- will it work or will I get in trouble somehow? I want to use it just so instant transfers are possible- the money will always be in my bank account so the card shouldn't actually be needed.

If it is the debit card associated with the same checking account you have setup with Paypal, think long and hard about using it. There have been plenty of examples of double charges by paypal under those circumstances.

I am not sure I totally undestand the question but here is what I have with Paypal. I am only a buyer, not a seller so this info may be useless.

My account is with my Visa card which is a Debit one. I have absolutely no idea if that allows me to "receive" funds but I have not had any problem spending money with it!!..LOL

I use my visa debit card with paypal and have never had a problem after about 30 transactions to date.

I removed my MAIN checking from paypal. I went and opened a checking account Just for paypal junk in case they screw something up. There's only a few bucks in it but it allows me to be verified/confirmed and does not leave much money hanging out there for them to mess with.

I just use my VISA credit card. It works great.
