MONSTER!! incredible rainbow toned superb gem mintstate boone commem

this coin is in an ngc ms67 holder and is really super nice for the grade
i could see this in a 68 holder easy!!!!!!!!

this coin should not even exist with this type of toning as usually the boones are not lusterous like this coin and not as vibrant or as colorful!

this rainbow toned coin has an original layer of lilac on both sides and you can really see the lilac on the reverse center of the coin but the RAINBOW TONING is nothing short of unbelieveable! this coin looks much better when viewed in person

RAINBOW TONING IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO DESIRABLE AND of the utmost rarity also!

if you notice on the obverse of this coin the rainbow is an arc and this was caused by the coin resting in an album at an angle when the coin was inserted into the album it was put in at an angle, hence the arc of toning. a long time in the making!!

also a very nice rainbow slight rainbow rim on the reverse also!

this coin is from an eastern blah blah blah.........lol

sincerely michael

    Michael,
    Really nive coin.
The Red brown periphery is special very attractive but not unique. I was interested in the blue remaining face. It is sort of the same blue as on your blue mercury. This even blue is vey unusual. I have nothing like that in my collection nor recall seeing this even light blue on other coins. I would be interested in your comments.

I have seen this coin in person and, unbelievably, it is MUCH prettier in person! No, I am not the owner of the "Eastern Collection" and am not offering the coin for sale, etc. image

This coin is one I mentioned in Clankeye's thread about color, "monster" color, etc., yesterday.

mark you are right on the money!! and trime there is not a trace of broan at all on the coin it is a rainbow but the acan really doesnot do justice to the coin and as mark said above it is really much better in person!

rainbow toning is really raare the rarest also the blue lilac on this coin is totally different from the merc dime the dime is sort of a navy cobalt ocean blue whereas this commem is a lilac color and sometimes more often than not you see this original lilac color on many early commems!

this coin is jusy incredible in person sight seen THIS COIN NEEDS TO BE SIGHT SEEN!!!!!!!!!!

SINCERELY MICHAEL and yes this coin is unique i beg to differ trime but certianly there are differencss of opinions but the problem with this thread is that the photo really doesnot do justice to this coin it does give it some credience on here but i can gaurantee you if you saw this coin in person it is like 1000 times better

then if you saw this coin i would be interested in waht you had to say and of course there are always differences of opinions!

I only had the coin on my screen for a moment, because I was afraid those colors would burn into my monitor. Incredible.
