Of the 3051 sets in the completion breakdown, 6% are accounted for in these barely-begun sets from just a 20 year span. I wonder how many of these sets are just sitting there with no additions likely in the near future. And if they are stagnant, is it because the person has lost interest or wasn't serious or committed to begin with, and or are they somehow prevented from adding to it? And is there any correllation between the time period and the age of the people most likely to collect them? I'd imagine most people building 60s-70s sets are in their 20s-30s, the time when many dramatic things tend to happen to attitudes, and to ones' life (marriage, children, houses, job changes, etc.) that could affect involvement with the hobby.
