How to post a unique icon?

This should be a quick thread. I'm starting to post more to these forums (this one in particular) and wouldn't mind having a customized icon for myself. Is there anyway to do this? And how? Also, is there a way to get notified via email if someone posts a thread to your topic? (is that what checking 'subscribe' to thread does?) Thanks!

    they are not allowing the uploading
    of icons right now.

    Yes.....if you check subscribe....it will notify you by e-mail when someone posts to the thread.
