I have many 2000 type 2 cents, many 1998 type 2 Lincolns, but had seen only one 1999 type 2 Lincoln offered on E Bay.
Then came a recent edition of Numismatic News with an add offering type 2 cents from 2000 AND 1999 and too boot they are BROADSTRUCK!
Got the coins today and they are all type 2 and BROADSTRUCK! A truthful ad! One 2000 and two 1999's. The first 1999 ty2 I have owned and both are broadstruck, a double error/variety!
The good thing.....They were $15 each!!!!!!
The other bad thing....I only ordered 1-2000 and 2-1999.....
Having been looking for a 1999 example for over 6 months, thought they may not exist, only one seen on E Bay in months and the only ones I find are broadstruck makes me think maybe the collar broke on the 1999 die and was quickly discarded.
I have 20 2000 ty2, 10 1998 ty2, but these are the first 1999 I have been able to afford.
Anyone else have any observations on the 1998, 1999, 2000 ty2 cents?

Observation #2 - I get sort of tired of hearing people describe these as "proof die strikes". There is not one shred of evidence that any of these coins were struck with proof dies. I have had my chance to view a few dozen of them from different collectors over the past couple of years, and my conclusion is that they were ALL struck from business strike manufactured dies.
