Yes it's the ULTRA RARE paneled proof kennedy half...

Came out of the proof set this way... I kinda like it...

    Love that coin, Marty!! It reminds me of my downstairs rec room growing up. I have never seen wood-grain toning on a Kennedy like that: it's super!!

    Very good statement. I only paid on the average only $75.00 for all eight sets with that coin in them.

    Yes it is. It actually looks like woodgrain.

    Since it is not slabbed, I think someone either painted it or stained it with something to make it look that way. You think?

    I don't think so, I pulled it from the proof set. Looks like a bad copper wash to me. The reverse is a solid copper color, bet the front is kind of cool!!image

  • You know, if that thing were a nickel I could understand the wooden look. Very cool looking half though.
    Buy the coin...but be sure to pay for it.
