Why is there no 1964 with varieties proof set?

There is a 1968 with varieties set for the no S dime. Shouldn't there be a 1964 set with varieties set for the Accented Hair Kennedy?

  • Yes there should.

I also should have bought a 1964 Lincoln and Washington rather than the 1963s that I did buy. Then I would have a nice DCAM set, varieties or not. I've got the nickel, dime and both Kennedys.

Anybody want to trade? Naw, why steal Russ's glory image

I entered my 3 1956 coins and then deleted them. My quarter and dime are NGC and I am pretty sure PCGS wouldn't cross the dime due to heavy toning. It is awesome though. I'm waiting for the NGC proof set Registry.

And don't forget the pointed 9 dime (does any service recognize this as a variety).

I tried to registry my AH in my proof set because it's the only 1964 50c I have.

I emailed BJ and got this reply

At this time, the '64 proof set does not include varieties. We may be adding the AC at a later date.

(I assume she meant AH unless they are planning to air condition the proof sets)

I'd rather they'd accept either variety of the 50cimage
