How does the set rating work?

I was just curious as to how the set rating works? I added some 77's to my set and from what I could tell it should've put me to #3 all-time. I looked it up today and I am #8 and I am behind sets that have lower GPA's and completion percentages. How can that be?
It's not something that I'm going to lose sleep over, but it's still cool to see your name near the top (even if it's 4% complete).
Thanks in advance,
Adam

It all comes down to the weighting. If someone enters in a psa 9 card with a weight of 8 then they would get 72 total points. If you have 5 psa 8's each with a weight of 1 then you would have 40 total points and therefore would fall under them in the set ratings despite having 5 times more cards. Take a look at the set composition and it should help out.

Thanks for your help. I guess my problem is that I have don't have as many of the higher weighted players as some of the others. I've been picking up more of the common players as of late. I was just surprised as I have a larger set completion than most and my GPA is 9.03. Guess I'll have to add some more stars.

That's cool. I'm glad it is a weighted set now. Thanks for making your inputs to them to help them weigh the set. Did you see the Sutter Rc that BIN'd for $300. Would've been a nice one to have.
