has anyone considered putting a vintage team set together say 72 and back?

i have a goal of trying to put together a redskins player set from 48 bowman and leaf to 72 topps all brands topps/bowmann/leaf ect have any you top collectors tried this baseball or football?of course my choice to collect will be the redskins in psa 8 and 9 many tough cards like 52 both small and large the 56 short prints of course both the 48 bowman and leaf issues .after taking stock in what i had already i figure i might as well give it a try i have always grabbed redskin card when i saw them at the right price but from here on out i fear the right price might be step (arg) well interested to see or hear about anyone elses effort like this sure have to be a couple of you at least .like you yankee guys

I have done partial sets of many of the Phillies teams -- and will complete that after a few other priorities. I know quite a few people who have runs of Cubs team sets or Yankees team sets in PSA 7/8/9 condition...

I know a collector doing a major deal 62-02 all mets in 8 or better...WOW!!! I'm glad I found him he's cleaned out some of my closets..

wow 40 years of mets can you imagine doing like yanks or redsox 90 years of cards just the thought gives me a headache,the task of 25 years of redskins is more then enough for me

I tried to get a "50 Philadelphia Baseball All Time" on the registry, but Joe Orlando shot it down -- it was all Phillies and A's, and he said the A's are KC and Oaklnd as well. Oh well, I thought it was a good idea ........

Redskins cards are usually more popular than other teams. Besides the Packers that is!
I have had alot of fun putting these team sets together.

I have complete Atlanta Braves team sets in standard Topps issues from 1966 to the present, though I am missing a couple of sets in the 80's. I will probably continue this but I haven't gotten the courage to grade them out. The thought has crossed my mind.

I have a New York Mets team run from 1962 to 1986. But few of them are worthy of grading. I still love them.
