1974 Topps Registry - Should be fun to watch!

Looks like both Dakota and Wetzel are posting their 74 sets fast and furiously. As of today, one is at 8.49 GPA and one is at 8.50. But who will get the gold star next to their set at the end of this month???

  • That would probably be Dakota. I understand that he is already at 100%. But rumor has it that there is another set that is charging hard.image

    Wayne,
Scott has an impressive 74 set. I know I sold him a boatload of 9's. I'm interested to see it when he is finished listing it.
  • Bob,

He has a huge head start on me but I've purchased about 230 psa 9's during the past month and another 19 psa 10's. I really think it's possible to put together a 1974 set with a gpa of 9.0 or better. There are still quite a few cards out there without any graded examples of 9 or better but there is also a lot of raw material out there. In fact, if you make a trip to that garage of yours and find any 1974 sets please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Wayne

  • FB,
Yeah ,should be interesting and fun.Maybe we can start the new 74 fab 5.With Wayne jumping into the ring and charging hard prices have been hot and heavy on ebay for 9s.I gotta say i get a lot more satisfaction hunting down raw and submitting and trading for cards i need rather than just shelling out the big bucks when cards come up on ebay.Thats not to say that i havent spend some big bucks here and there.I love this set and its been real fun. There are a few cards that seem to be really ,really tough.Carlos knows which ones they are.Maybe guys like gaspipe have some of the tough ones and that would be the way to go.I know he has helped me the last year.

Wayne ...I do have some extra raw that i already have in psa 9 if your interested let me know.

    well,nice post Frank

    dakota,
If your set is Carlos old set. Alot of those came from me too. Send me a list of what you want to upgrade and I'll see if I can help you out.
