DcamFranklin has attacked me in most nearly semi-viscious way

A guy who has been a member of ebay for 3 years ask for advice on how an auction looks, thereby advertising on the US Coin Forum, instead of the buy sell and trade forum, and DCamFranklin attacked me publicly for pointing this out.

Here is what I said "This really belongs on the Buy Sell and Trade Forum"

Here is what DCamFranklin posted in his reply

"MDWoods- The guy is a relatively new member. He has seen how numerous Ebay sellers have been held up for ridicule on this Forum for extremely minor details and he is asking for our HELP. So many Members claim one of the primary purposes is to provide help, yet here a new Member asks for our help and you pop him with a little criticism. Give the guy a break!"

Notice the use of the exclamation point in his last sentence. WOW, did that sting. Should I take offense at such a monstrous attack???? I know that I am heartbroken. mdwoods

    Well, technically he did lie. And I did say it after the "viscious attack". My statement was not meant to criticize, and the guy who had been an ebay member for 3 years suddenly needs help? I must admit I may be jumping to conclusion, plus stirring the pot, but I think he was just promoting his auciton. I will also admit to being bored and trying to stir up a little action. mdwoods

    Call me an innocent bystander if you will, as I do not know the whole context of the matter, but where is the "monstrous attack." I feel that DCAMs words were perfect, no name calling or anything out of sorts, just straight forward with a good point.

    tell you the truth never messed with ebay i looked at a few things nothing i need ! i was going to try to sell something but i never tryed ! i know nothing about ebay just the photos i see ! if i was a person who was there for 3 years i would know alot ! about it ! in the last past 8 mounts i learned html i have like 5 sites .and i would not lie ! if this person is new he should say hes new .you all deal in cions . you do not need cheets or any one whos going to mess with you ! i only have my own easy board and know some who have there own ! if some gos over the line cant they get band on ebay ? i think they should its not fair for you to have to go throu all this b-ll you know ! image

    I'd like to believe we really are here to provide real help to one another. That doesn't involve thinking the worst of one another. Why not assume that a new Member's intentions are good? Why not take a few moments to provide some encouragement, positive comments and an offer to help in the future. We don't improve this Forum with petty attacks on well-meaning novice sellers on Ebay. We sure don't improve this Forum by "being bored and trying to stir up a little action". Though my hat his off to mdwoods for admitting such.

    My extreme thanks to Dog97 for doing such a fantastic job of diffusing this situation in such a fantastic manner! I know you, Dog97, have already said you have no interest in the Moderator job (I don't blame you), however, I'd like you to know you were the first person I thought of for the position. Dorkkarl, you are next on my list. Braddick and Morris-I thank you for your handling of this matter.

    Based on the responses I've seen on these boards from DCAMFranklin, he's never met an opinion he can't find a reason to disagree with (not that there's anything wrong with that).

    Based on all the whining going on in this thread it belongs in the open forum instead (and it needs a topic title change too).

    Based on all the posts mdwoods is making it could just as well be a cheet thread (open/test forum, take your pick).

    Based on the wonderful content I'm adding this post could just as well be deleted...

    When scrolling through the icons, I never found a DCAM Franklin (the obvious choice), and became impatient and chose this beauty. Heck, now I like it even more! Wish I were wealthy enough to collect the classic gold coins.

    I'll look for your Franklin. Way to slip that little tidbit in.

    Hey I babysit 20 full grown men for 8 hours a day. My men are really mean & nasty, rude & viscious brutes and most of them have criminal records. You should see the way I diffuse their situations.
