  • Textile toning is really cool. I've heard that a coin has to sit against the mint bag undisturbed for many decades in order to get toning like that. Thanks for the great pics.

    Ick. Sorry, I don't like textile toning at all.

    But I am getting tolerant. In the past, those colors wouldn'ta done anything for me, either. Now I do have to admit the colors on those coins are very nice.

    I'm coming around, slowly. I am moving from an automatic "ick" reaction toward a "hey, that's kind of interesting" attitude on textile toning. Give me time.
