Giving notice-moving up in the Merc registry, again!

Added another new treasure tonight. 1938-S MS65FB. Interested parties have a look. Be advised, I have two more on the way. 1935-P MS67FB, and 1930-P MS64FB, plus working on 2 more. This passing signal covers all, ok?

Wow its nice to see people going upwards !!image

All I can do is go sideways or down with the things I have bought. Todays dimes below. I think maybe a grading class is needed for myself. I just do not agree with two of the grades put on these dimes by the Pro's. image

    Grades Anyone ?

    Hello Ken,

I'll take a shot, but you guys remember I'm new and still learning.

    1930 MS64FB

    1931 MS63FB

1934 MS65 bands don't look fully split to me, pretty though!

Will be interesting to see how far off I am.

    Ken,

I grade the 30 and 31 the same as Wayne. The 34 probably BB'ed for AT.

    Jon:

I was just getting ready to hit the Hay and clicked on here one last time. Boy I sure hope Mike at Whitlow does not see the post about the 34P !! It was bought from them this morning. Have been after that dime for about 3 weeks. First it was sold then not sold and Mike could not remember who wanted it. Well anyway its a 65FB coin that he says is a No Brainer 66FB coin. We will see in a couple of days.

No comments on the others yet as I would like to see some more opinions. Lets just say I also received a couple of 66FB coins in the 40's that are no better than these. Hmmm...... another case of harder grading for earlier Mercs ?

    Darn It.

I'm sorry. I should have started another thread for these coins I received instead of horning in on your thread.

    Wayne,
Those are a couple of nice additions. Keep plugging away at it.

    Ken,
All 3 dimes look nice. I'd guess them all at 65FB.

I saw that Owen picked up a couple of tough ones on eBay today, the '19-D and '27-D, both in 64FB.

I'm hoping to pick up a Merc or two this week, if I can make it home before the auctions end, and the prices are within reason. They wouldn't be enough to change my position in the registry, but they'd be welcome additions.

The 30P and 31P are both 64FB Coins, and I like them. I see No reason why either cannot be in a 65 holder. Oh well I guess the Holder Number means little as long as a person likes the coin.

    Pat:

Grades from school !!! Hmmm..... as long as I stayed eligible for Basketball and Track thats about all I cared about. If done over I believe harder work would have been done. Isn't Hindsight just Great ? image

    Hello all,

This passing signal covers all, ok? I'm new, but I have been evesdropping for a while. Are theses passing signals just a joke, or are they for real? I havn't seen anyone else giving notice. Someone please send me a PM and clue me in! Puppies are Cute!
