The common rookies /50 book $12, 45 is a bit steep.

thanks guys for the input.. I am basing the value on last years sp authentic.. I am sure you all have baseball becketts... so if you look at 2001 sp authentic limited... which was last years parallel numbered to 50... you will see that stars were 30 times high book value.. so for the record.. last years bonds.. was worth 30 x 2.50... which is 75... I would think that after joining the braves.. that his base card would be comprable to last years chipper jones base which was 1.25 or last years tony gwynn base card which was 1.50..

Haha, Sheff's cards will never be worth close to Chipper and Gwynn. You're comparing Sheff to the world's biggest jerk and the best pure hitter since Teddy Ballgame?!?! Have some respect, Sheff's base will book .75 under minor stars.

Doesn't really matter if they're hall of fame bound or not when it comes to cards, it's the appeal to collectors.
