Antiquity Bureau...

Received my proof stste quarters today. They really look nice.Three of them are kinda milky looking and the rest have a nice mirrow finish. What causes the flat miky finish to the three others.Out side of that I am pretty happy with them.

If it is an overall milkiness, I believe what you are referring to is called haze by most collectors. If it is in the form of small, whitish spots, these are referred to as milk spots. Both are considered detrimental to a coin's eye appeal and value.

I have never done business with Antiquity Bureau, but what I have seen of them has not given me much confidence in them. I doubt I would ever buy from them.

However, far be it from me to rain on your parade. Even a questionable seller can sell nice coins occasionally, and if you are happy with your coins, that's all that counts.
