for me i think the pedigree is okie cant really hurt it might help
i myself really do not care either way

i might care if for example the pedigree is for an extra special coin that usually is not seen and is generally acknowledged in the collecting community as having come from a specific sourse whereas the sourse is always quoted when the specific coin is mentioned like for example the mickeley specimum of the 1804 dollar then yes that coin it is important the pedigree for me

eliasberg is also i guess neutral for me as he had the complete collection of coins but then again his coins were mostly ugly toned and most many many are not currently dipped and lose the prdigree

i guess for me eliasberg bass garrett etc in general doesnot do anything for me unless per above the mickeley specimum of the fantastic 1804 dollar. to me 99.99% of the prdigrees out there really add nothing

    sincerely michael

but it is all in the eye of the beholder and if it is important to you for a reason you care about well then it is important and cant hurt!!!!!!!!!!!! might not/maybe help but cant hurt
