Writing down dates in my notes, I notice my numbers becoming slightly weirdly shaped and not even on the line- they look like the dates on older colonials/hammered coins where the dates weren't perfectly even... AHHHHHHHHHHHH

When you start writing your 1's with a curved base, making it look like you're using a J in place of a 1, then you've been looking at 18th century coins too long. One of the many cool things about the scarce 1714 British farthing of Queen Anne (aside from the fact that few made it into circulation), is that the date looks almost like J7J4.
