  • there pretty good - they usually ship the day after you pay - if you pay tonight then probably ship tomorrow - Tues. at the latest

If you pay quickly, they ship quickly, I've even had them ship priority to me. With their return fees, for lesser coins, returning is a wasted effort. For bigger bucks, it is better than taking a total loss(which can occur on Teletrash coins). I haven't bought there in well over a year, although I did bid when they were giving away those gold coins. I'll stick with ebay....

Their return fees are too much but they have gotten faster with their shipping than they used to be. Last coin took about 5 days, used to take several weeks.

I've had no trouble returning coins. And, I keep wondering why people say "return fees". What return fees? They've never charged me any return fees, and have always credited the full amount back, including shipping.

Next day usually. Coins get here in three to four days, and I'm clear across the country.

    What return fee?
Return by Registered mail only, $5 + 3% on coins less than $200 and $10 + 3% on coins more than $200. So if I return a $500 coin it will cost me about $40. Too much.

    Dog,

That's interesting. They've never charged me any fees, and I've sent them all back by Priority Insured. Last one was a 1970 JFK in 68DCAM that, with buyer's fee and shipping was $59. They credited the entire $59 back to my card.

One before that was a 68CAM 1964 that, with buyer's fee and shipping, was $39. They credited back the entire $39.

I don't know why they charged you a fee. They have yet to charge me one.

Aint you so lucky. image That's what it says in their catalog and I returned a coin 1 time and they charged me. I was raising cain at them one time when they started charging the $5 handling fee for sellers because I sold some cheap coins and actually ended up owing Teletrade and they did refund my seller fees.

    Dog,

When I've returned coins, I've always called ahead of time and talked to some gal (I think her name is Stacy) and told her why I wanted to return them. Than I wrote out detailed notes on the original invoices and enclosed them with the coins, as well as shipping them directly to her attention.

Frankly, I never bothered to even check for a return policy.

  • The last time I returned a coin to Teletrade (about 2 1/2 months ago) I also did not have to pay any return fees. I just made sure to include a letter that stated the coin was not as described and they not only credited back the full purchase price but half of the shipping as well(I won 2 coins that night and kept one).

I like Teletrade. I have been buying there for a couple years at least. I am sending in my first consignment today. They ship very quickly once you have paid. The coins vary in quality, as do coins anywhere else. I have found that the coins on Teletrade generally look better in person than the pictures they show. I would not hesitate to bid in Teletrade auctions. I plan on doing so in the future when a coin I need shows up. My two cents. Mark
