How to package coins for shipping to SEGS?

I was just browsing the ANACS and SEGS websites. ANACS wants items shipped in polybags and 2 1/2 flips, and I don't think I have any. SEGS didn't say anything about packaging, which seems easier since they don't specify what to use. How have you shipped to SEGS?

Larry Briggs goes to every major show. Just hand them to him at the SEGS table.

I always use standard 2 X 2 flips, and have done so for both SEGS and ANACS submissions. Though it's not completely in line with their instructions, ANACS has never given me any grief about this. They'd be stupid to. Most people don't have 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 flips or polybags. Their requested method makes sense, as it enables them to remove your coin more safely for grading, with less handling. But I don't believe it's that big a deal.

I used the one poly bag anacs gives you when you request a submission form thru the mail.
The rest I just used flips. No complaints about that.
They did complain about the scotch tape I used to keep the flips closed but still processed the submission image

The best way to submitt to segs is to change the mailing label to NGC or PCGS .

Yes, but I have some coins are going to get bodybagged by NGC or PCGS, which means I have to submit them to another service.

Just stick them in a flip and mark the invoice # and line # on each flip.

SEGS will return your flips with the coins. Rather nice. image
