Report from the Parsippany, NJ coin show

I just got back from the 80-dealer, monthly show in Parsippany, NJ. Since I take the summer off from coin purchases, the last time I was there was in June.
This month the show was more crowded than usual, in fact, two dealers had to set up in the hall outside the bourse room. Foot traffic was heavy, it was harder to get through the aisles than usual.
I saw (don't remember his first name) Kleinman (of I. Kleinman) and Jules Karp buying, as usual. (I saw Jules Karp pay cash, instead of a check, for a purchase.) Don Hosier (East Coast rep for the Goldbergs) had a table, with some nice material, including an 1851-O eagle in NGC-53 and an 1852-O double eagle in NGC-55. Unfortunately, TomB wasn't there today.
It looked like most of the dealers had a lot of fresh (compared to June) inventory. Over the past several years, I've frequently noticed a lot of the same coins in October as I had seen the previous June.
Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot of what I was looking for: XF or AU early seated halves or dollars and no-motto Coronet gold. One high point, Randy Block had two (yes, TWO) lower grade $50 octagonal slugs! They looked to be VF or so. I didn't look at them closely enough to determine their dates or varieties, but I want one when I grow up!
On the whole, it looked like a more-than-usual amount of money was changing hands and the dealers I spoke to said they had been doing a lot of business.
I'm looking forward to the White Plains show next Saturday!
