...or maybe the title should be "random thoughts".
I received my order of 22 coins back from PCGS. One of them that I previously asked what an "M/G" grade was turned out to be a coin that I sent to have regraded and it came back as the same grade. Therefore "M/G" stands for?? saMe Grade?
I sent two different sets of Silver 2002 State Quarters and they all made PR68->PR69DCAM but the strange thing is... the second set graded exactly the same as the first set. It just seems strange to me that there was no variance between the sets. Another unusual item was my 1999 Delaware Silver Proof, it came back PR67DCAM... PR67??? HOW COULD THIS BE On closer inspection (8x) I noticed that where it says "In God We Trust" down to the "S" mint mark there is a smudge!! but I can't see that being the reason it received the PR67, otherwise the coin looks to have a great strike and no other marks to it. I'm not sure if it is worth it to crack it out, clean and have it regraded but I've been rolling along with mostly PR68/69's ...I'm not being a perfectionist am I?
For the Indian Quarterly special, I have two Indian Head Pennies:
1887 Heavily Worn
1892 (See Pic)
They are probably not worth slabbing but they are the oldest coins I have and it would be free. Or am I better off sending a Sac?
Cleaning Coins-> I know some of you believe that cleaning a coin will do more harm then good. I have actually started cleaning some 1959->1980 coins in a solution of 3 parts water, 1 part non-acetone acetone (12 hours each side of the coin) and then applying car wax on it. The Non-Acetone Acetone (Nail Polish Remover) actually strips all the dirt/pvc/carbon spots..etc off the coin and leaves the coin with an "orangish/copper" color. The car wax appears to bring the luster back to the coin. The reason I am doing this is to place each date/ mint mark into an album and I'm hoping...once complete, I can hang it in my son's room. (As long as he doesn't try to spend it when he gets a bit older )
Although I am still a newbie... every place I go, I ask for Penny Rolls. Anytime I go to Ebay, I have to look through the coin auctions, any site that is coin related... I think about buying something. My wife who has been supportive is starting to smile whenever I come home with a few penny rolls but I'm not sure if she is just amusing me or if she really thinks I am crazy. I cannot concentrate on just one coin type, one date period.... I'm looking at every coin I receive in change... I'm even looking at dollars for Radar Numbers and consecutive numbers. I read coin magazines and books from cover to cover and even resort to reading them more than once. Am I a coin collector? have I advanced from "Newbie" status? What do I do from here?

I thought I was seeing things.
I believe its a "DO rag" (don't know if my spelling on this is correct)
After going to indianheads.org... I'm feeling somewhat embarassed by posting that picture I guess the 1892 looked so much better than the 1887... I was thrown off a bit. Yes, it is the rare "bandanna" type Indian head... other wise known as the "Bart Simpson"
Actually, I want to thank you for having that site in your sig. I checked it out briefly and have bookmarked it for future reference.

I like it.
Put that on ebay with a catchy title and Braddick will bid on it for sure!!
