with the 23-S in 65 from B & M auction last night. Looking forward to getting it. Now all I have to do is a little upgrading.

Later, Jon

Also picked up 2 Walkers in 64 from the John Jay Pittman collection. 42-S and 46-P.

'Way to go, Jon! That's a great accomplishment!

How does it feel to have reached the light at the end of the tunnel? Pretty darned good, I'm sure.

I guess now we'll all be competing with you for any Merc that would be an upgrade for your set, which is fine, as long as we have a chance to buy your lower grade extras. I'm not proud - I'm perfectly happy with non-FB coins or MS64's of the tougher dates. Or perhaps you'll be working on a Walker set? It seems you have an interest in those as well. You can't go wrong with a design that's obsolete, beautiful and affordable (well, at least after 1933). Good luck with whatever route you choose.

  • Congrats, It'll be another ten years or more for me to complete my set. It's taken 11 years just to get this far.

Thanks everyone. It is a great feeling to have a complete set of Mercs in pretty good grades if I have to say so myself.

Jim, I have kind of started the Walkers. I have about 8-10 now, but have not registered them. I'm not sure which set I want to compete in. The full or med. or short set.

And Ken, you and Dennis stop this fighting or I'll send you both to your rooms without supper!! Ha Ha.

    Later, Jon

    Jon,
That's a great accomplishmentimageCongrats!.I have a better deal for you instead of you sending your extra Merc's to these begging icons LOLimage how about trading me for my Walkers?image.Al
  • DIMEMANDIMEMAN Posts: 22,403 ✭✭✭✭✭

    Al,

I don't think any of my replaced Mercs would be good enough to go into that set you are building. Just be sure you signal as you go by me.

What Walkers are you wanting to trade or sell??
