The Celtics and Lakers jerseys are too of the league's last ties to tradition, and two of the last teams to resist making brand new uniforms just to bump sales. How sad that the Lakers have sold out, next thing you know the Cleveland Browns will come out with new 6-color in your face helmets.

dude it has nothing to do with selling out. The whole nba and every home team has white home jerseys, but the lakers. I don't think it's up to the lakers whether they want to wear what they want.......all players without a shoe contract have to wear reeboks this year also. It has nothing to do with selling out.

The NBA has no stipulation whatsoever forcing teams to wear white at home, and they certainly wouldn't force the Lakers of all teams to change their uniforms. LA has one of the most gorgeous, timeless uniforms in sports, and changing that is the most ridiculous thing I've seen since the Bulls wore those God-awful black and red pinstriped nightmares.

you might not like the black bulls jerseys, but that jersey is probably one of the most popular jerseys for mj fans. The nba rules the lakers........the lakers players have no say on what shoes they can wear. They have to wear reebok or sign with a shoe company. If the nba says.......the lakers have to wear white home jerseys ....the lakers can't do crap about it. The purple and gold will always be there, but wearing a alternative jersey every once in awhile is fun for the players.

new eastbay with the special inserted pages has them for sale...the swingman type..it has kobe and shaq...also there is word that clippers are going to have blue jerseys too...
