Need Some Ebay Advice!!

http://cgi.compuserve.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1864030146&rd=1

I was just the hi bidder on this. The problem is it states:Shipping insurance per item (not available).
I emailed seller and asked. Can I pay to get $400 insurance on this? I'd hate for it to get lost or
damaged during shipping. Once you get me a total I'll Paypal your payment.

I'm wondering what can I do if he refuses to send this insured.

Thanks, Mike

  • Yes, I would say he put not available, because the exact figure wouldn't be known until the card ends, am sure he wouldn't refuse insurance, if so he doesn't belong on eBay, and would be very risky considering he takes paypal and you have to show tracking info if someone doesn't get a card.

  • Mike, I would reccommend not paying him for the card unless he agrees to insurance and delivery signature confimation. He is an established eBayer, and although he did not include a picture in his auction, he seems to know a little about the process. I would risk taking the negative feedback if he will not insure the card, that is too much money to leave to chance in my opinion. Now, if the situation were reversed, and you the buyer said you did not want insurance that is a different story, but he has to be willing to send that card UPS overnight if you want it. Good luck with it, but be wary if he refuses to insure.
  • cranejoshua,
Thanks. He said he will insure it for $400, so I'm gonna Paypal him his payment and
when I get it I'll post a scan of it..

    Thanks, Mike
