The Lakeland, Florida Collectorama Show will be held October 11-13, 2002 at The Lakeland Center, 700 West Lemon (just west of downtown Lakeland). The show is open to the public from 10 A.M. to 7 P.M. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. on Sunday.
Collectorama "buys" the parking lot so dealers and guests do not
have to pay the $5.00 per day parking fee. Bring along this announcement and present it to Registration and get FREE ADMISSION.
The host hotel for Collectorama is the Baymont Inn ($49.00) at
Exit 19 of I-4. Nice clean, quiet and very comfortable motel. Free
Continental breakfast. Couple restaurants close by.
Lakeland is located between Tampa and Orlando, just off of
I-4. Take Exit 18 South (Route 98). Route 98 will turn East
but you need to go straight into downtown Lakeland on South
Florida Avenue. When you get into downtown look for the signs
for The Lakeland Center. It is located just west of downtown.
Collectorama is primarily a Coin and Currency Show, but also invites
dealers of Paper Americana, Postcards, Ephemera, Antiques, Stamps,
Autographs, Maps, and all kids of Neat Collectibles.
Each youngster, 12 or under, gets to dig into the show's Kid's bucket for a Free Hand Full of Money. Collectorama urges dealers
and collectors to bring some numismatic goodies along to throw into the Kid's bucket, and help keep the future of our hobby strong.
Collectorama is a show for the entire family, and is located only about a half hour away from Disney, Epcot, Sea World, and most
Central Florida attractions.
