DAVIS FOR CAMBY?: There has been a slow growing rumor that the Portland Trailblazers may be interested in a swap featuring Dale Davis heading to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Marcus Camby. Blazer sources refused to comment, but said Bob Whitsitt was not active in discussions, but that their frontcourt was crowded enough to warrant discussions. The theory here is Camby is unhappy with his Denver situation, and may finally be healthy and Denver may see Davis appealing, not only as a veteran leader, but as another ending contract. Nuggets sources say the club is evaluating a lot of options, and Camby’s name has been mentioned, but the more likely trade will be James Posey who is eager to get into a winning situation, but its doubtful he’s headed to Portland according to the source
