okay - what's the diff? Cleaned, Dipped, "whizzed"?

It appears there must be a difference in that a slab may say "cleaned" but I have never seen one that says "dipped" and certainly not "whizzed". Don't you just love that term?
Anyway - what is the difference between these three? All responses are appreciated.

Cleaned involves something other than dipping, i.e. wiping with a cloth, steel wool, baking soda, etc.
Whizzing is a hideous process of a very fine wire brush to smooth out a coin and to give luster back to a coin. Whizzing is easy to see under enough magnification and the right light.

Dipping refers to an acid that removes microscopic layers of metal from the coin surface to reveal fresh metal, although some dips are detergents and not specifically acidic
Whizzing is where a fine wire brush is rotated on a coin surface to scratch it to imitate luster (luster is merely reflection of light on flow lines created through striking)
Polishing is obvious
Other ways of cleaning are out there, too
I have tried dipping one coin - it was silver - a half dime - and almost totally black from tarnish. Although it has virtually zero luster now - at least you can see that date and the details.
I wish I would have taken a before and after pic so you could see the diff - both in luster and in detail.
