What's so special about eTopps?

Why are they so expensive?

  • People pay so much because the 2000 and 2001 product were so low. Only a few hundred were produced of some players. Don't expect the 2002 releases to be as valuable because Topps is producing so much more of each player. Take Joey Harrington for example, I think his '02 eTopps is limited to 8,000. The 2002 releases are far more produced compared to the first 2 years.

    I'm not sure that's the only reason. For example I've seen the McDyess eTopps limited to 425 or somthing, it sells for $45+ while at the same time you can buy a McDyess #/25 UD card for less than $10.
    It just dosnt make sense.
    I think Topps are just trying to lead collectors to think it's the next big thing, while in reality is just a regular card with a picture that absolutely no one would want if it came from a pack.
