Did you set what MastroNet has gotten their hands on?

A set like this -- I don't care about the O/C's. To see such fresh cards is absolutely amazing. I wonder if/when they auction this, if they will break it up or do it as one set. As one set -- it will reach into the stratosphere.
The Williams card by itself could approach six figures.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Those are awesome that feller is sweet. That's the first time I ever saw one thanks for the thread Marc.

Ps Marc if you read this I did it again finally...
That is one nice set. I would love to see the scans of the other cards, but the 9's alone are very very impressive. When you consider SMR on the Williams alone is $55,000 my guess depending on how bad the OC's are is that this would go for $150K+ as a complete set.
Spectacular but beyond my budget. I would think that Charlie, Marshall, John Branca and Don Louchios could all be interested in this.

Marc,
Thanks for letting me know about it. It was great to check out and view the scans of the sharp
nines. For a minute I closed my eyes and dreamed of owning the set and checking it out
on a cold winter night with a couple of hot babes and some warm coco ...
Whoa!! That was nice. Better get back to work! Earn $$$ to keep the wife happy!

Gator -- e-mail me at work (mschoenen@deloitte.com), I wasn't 100% sure what you were talking about in your post.
Davalillo -- I wrote you an e-mail about two days ago and haven't heard back from you. Hope to hear from you soon.
Any clue on the provenance of this set? Could this be the one from Copeland? The picture in that catalog is very unclear overall -- but the cards all looked unstained and without any huge border wear.
As for the Williams card -- I think that the last PSA 8 to hit the market hit $50,000. And BMW has an open offer of $30,000 for an SGC 88 (8.0) example.

Davalillo can't be far away from launching an assualt of the golden age regionals and our beloved levitating wienerschnitzels.

I was told 2 lots. Of course it seems incredibly stupid not to auction all of them individually.
but then again...........
"Here is how we plan on selling the Wilson set. Each of the 9's
will be offered individually and the remainder of the set will be
offered as one lot."
Many of the big dollar collectors probably prefer it to be offered as a set. People like me (and others) cause too much noise in the equation. And sets like this do extremely well as a set. There are definitely some people who might not bid on any if they knew they might have really stiff competition on one or two of the cards and couldn't complete the set.
