How to contact someone at E-bay?

Does anyone know how to contact someone at E-bay? I have looked all over their site and haven't found an e-mail address for customer service. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Something strange happened when I put up an auction...

I put a reserve price in that was wrong (a typo)then I went back and changed it (revised it) and it looked fine on my "items I'm selling" page.

Today - I look at it and it's back to how it was AND there are bids on the item so I can't change it again. I need a little help here. Anyone know how to get in touch with and "E-bay Person"??? Or how to fix this little problem - other than cancelling the auction which I DO NOT want to do.

Thanks in advance for your replies

  • You may have to cancel the auction. First you will have to cancel all bids then end your listing early. You will not be charged for relisting as long as your item sells.

  • Its buried very deep in Safe Harbor. It will do you no good though, you'll only get a canned response. Make sure your changes took by refreshing your browser. If the changes did in fact not take, then you have no choice but to cancel the auction and start over. I'd contact the high bidder and let them know there was an error in the listing that the item will be re-listed so they can put their bid back.

if you cancel the listing , go back and notify the bidders your reason why and give them a link to the new listing of the item.

You are better off cancelling the auction and relisting. Don't forget to cancel the bids. You can get your liting fee back if you state a liting errror and you relisted the item.

  • Its4real - There is no "E-Bay person" I'm afraid. I have been in exactly the same position. Had to cancel, etc. as others have said. Just email the bidders letting them know what you're doing and why and I'm sure they'll understand.
