Question for you 68 guys.

I have been looking to add some 68 star cards to my collection. In doing so, I have noticed two different patterns on the cards. One seems to be a series of small dots and the other almost a burlap pattern. Is my perception correct? Was this difference in the series printing? Wax vs. rack? Can one card have both patterns - meaning can one Seaver have the small dots and another Seaver have the burlap pattern. Is one more desireable/collectible/valuable?
Sorry if this question has been covered before. THANKS!

Edited to correct poor spelling, hope I got em all.

    rw2win,

Cards issued in the 1st Series had a course burlap pattern and the rest had a fine pattern. The only card to my knowledge that was issued with a fine and course pattern with the Second Series Checklist with Juan Marichal. The Seaver was issued in the 1st Series and to my knowledge it only had one pattern with was the course "burlap" pattern.
