Dipping a blue nickel???

Hi, I posted a picture of a 61 proof nickel a few weeks ago it was a blue color. I wanted to get it graded but when I tip it just right in the light it has a kind of orange ish haze that you can see only under magnification. Should I consider dipping it? I read how Russ dips some coins and was wondering if this would work. Also if you read this Russ , did you dip that pretty blue nickel you had posted a while back? thanks rick

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
Nickels don't like dipping. Even if they could tolerate it, I wouldn't dip a blue one; they're cool in blue and the dip would probably ruin the color.

GREAT on a JEFFERSON!
DO NOT DIP NICKEL
it can be done, there are some who can do it, but i've never got it to come out right (tried on "pocket change"), & you see way to many hosed coins to even chance it.

If you want a brilliant coin, I suspect you'd find many eager to trade for your blue one.
