I am looking to work on my type set. It's surprising how much the proof Buffalos have gone up. Seems like high end Barbers are a better area to buy now.
Greg
I bought and sold a PR 65 Cam Barber half this year. It went for more than I bought it for
The only reason I'm ahead of you in the proof type set is my 1907 proof set. Once you fill a few of those slots you will displace me. That proof set was another lucky buy before my education really started. It isn't very high grade, but (as michael would say) is special because it is an original, matched set.
but I just noticed it's too late a date, as well. Oh, well. Please forgive
the spam. Still, if anyone's interested in buying or swapping...)
I've got a nice common-date SLQ with light toning and "satiny" luster,
but it's only a 65 FH. It's in a late-1980's vintage holder with the "collar"
thingie around the edge, if you know what I mean. Whether it's an
upgrade candidate or not, I am not qualified to guess. Nice coin, but
my interests have swung back in time a bit to earlier stuff, beautiful
though these are.
I've been wavering back and forth on selling it.
Hmmm...sell... keep... sell... keep. Now I've swung back around to "sell"
again. Might stick it on eBay if there is any interest.

Sorry, Greg, for spamming the place up. I'll get off your thread now. Good luck in your quest. Sounds pretty challenging.
Are you holding out on your Cameo Barber?

I can't sell my icon, now, can I?
