How many dealers or collectors can distinguish between a 67 and 68? Between a 66 and 67?
This is the seller's "gain leader". Like a loss leader but in reverse. It runs for 10 days then another 10 days and hopefully lookey lous will look at his other auctions and may bid on the "cheap" stuff. However, from what i can see most of his material is highly toned and he is demanding a premium for generic gem pieces. Some will play and pay.
It certainly is a super coin. Here are my thoughts.
1. The seller has tried to sell this coin for this price I think for a long time, so the start price should be reduced. The PCGS guide does list a 66 at $50000 though, so it certainly has aspirations that kind of a price.
2. I would much rather have this coin for the money then a certain state quarter that has been shown on this forum several times!

Always buying music cards of artists I like! PSA or raw! Esp want PSA 10s 1991 Musicards Marx, Elton, Bryan Adams, etc. And 92/93 Country Gold AJ, Clint Black, Tim McGraw PSA 10s
....i see some sellers on ebay with some very beautiful coins, with prices to match, but have you noticed, the same coins are listed over and over again with no takers, the only one making any money is ebay, they must like paying listing fees.

for 90k, I could pick up just about each and every key date coin that I could ever hope to own and that's what I do.
If I had the money there are so many other coins I would want to buy.
Is it worth the money? I have no idea. It would seem like it.
